Classroom Parties
Each year PTO organizes volunteers for the three holiday parties each classroom celebrates. Each classroom has a Room Parent and 3 volunteers per party. You will receive a letter and sign up form at the beginning of the year asking if you are able to volunteer. Contact your classroom room parent for more details.
Teacher Conference Dinners
Teacher Conference dinners are scheduled in the fall and spring. Dinners are provided by our parent volunteers to help our teachers and staff eat a delicious meal on these extra long days. You may be asked to provide paper products or food items such as salads, sides, entrees or deserts. Help during set-up and take down is also needed.
Cookies with Santa
This is a fun evening where you can meet Santa, participate in Christmas crafts, eat cookies, and celebrate the holiday season with family and friends.
Bulldog Bash
This is a fun event for our entire WES community and families to celebrate the end of the school year. We have carnival games, food, drinks, and other fun activities for families to do together.
Staff Appreciation
During May we love to say THANK YOU to all of our Woodridge faculty and staff. You will receive a flyer detailing ways you and your student can participate in thanking the great people that work so hard to make Woodridge special. We also decorate with special posters for our teachers as well as great luncheons – all compliments of our Woodridge parents! It is a fun filled week!
Fifth Grade Recognition
This program is a highlight for the fifth graders at their graduation. If you have a fifth grader we will be contacting you soon for pictures of your graduate during their years in our school. Stay tuned for more info.
Walking Club
This is an event during the school day for students at recess where they can participate in organized walking to earn little rewards as a fun way to spend time together and get some great exercise.
Cookies and Canvas
This is an even we have a few times a year where we provide students and parents/families an opportunity to enjoy cookies and paint on a canvas as directed by our amazing art teachers.
Holiday Santa Shop
Every holiday season we have small gifts set up and allow students to bring money to school to purchase gifts for their loved ones. It’s a great way for students to feel special and gain independence to purchase low-priced items for their families for Christmas.
K.I.S.S.
Kindergartners invite someone special to see their classroom and enjoy a breakfast treat together.
Decorating Committee
This is our committee that decorates the hallways for our teachers, staff, and students.
School Apparel
Organize stock, arrange for sales, and sell apparel at different functions including community bash, open house, kindergarten parent meeting, holiday bazaar, etc
Grandparent’s Day
This is the event for our second grade where the students invite their grandparents or someone special and spend some time with then at school together.
